Data Protection Policy

Our Data Protection Policy is effective from 1 Sep 2018 (Last updated on 17 Feb 2020).

This policy is a statement of the Perimetersafe’s commitment to protect the rights and privacy of users and customers of Perimetersafe & Perimetersafe Cloud Services in accordance with the Data Protection legislation.

1 - Principles of data protection legislation

Perimetersafe will administer its responsibilities under the legislation in accordance with the stated data protection principles outlined as follows:

Obtain and process information fairly
Perimetersafe will obtain and process personal data fairly in accordance with the fulfilment of its functions and its legal obligations.

Keep it only for one or more specified and lawful purposes
Perimetersafe will keep data for purposes that are specific for intended use, lawful and the data will only be processed in a manner compatible with these purposes.

Keep it safe and secure
Perimetersafe will take appropriate security measures against unauthorised access to, or alteration, disclosure or destruction of the data and against their accidental loss or destruction.

Personal data shall be accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date
Perimetersafe will use email verification during account registration to ensure accuracy of email address.

Retain it for no longer than is necessary for the purpose or purposes
Perimetersafe will have a defined policy on retention periods for personal data and appropriate procedures in place to implement such a policy.

Deleting Your KODAK Smart Home Account. You may delete your KODAK Smart Home account that uses with the KODAK Smart Home mobile application at any time using our in-app Delete Account feature. When Delete Account option is selected on the application, you will need to confirm the account deletion by clicking on the confirmation link in the email we sent to you. When your KODAK Smart Home account is deleted in our cloud, your personal data including video clips and snapshots that may store on our cloud storage are deleted from our servers as well as any of your other information we no longer need to operate and provide our Services.

Provide his/her personal data to any individual, on request & authorized by the Law
Perimetersafe has data request policy to support request of personal data.

Personal data shall not be transferred to a country or territory outside the European Economic Area unless that country or territory ensures an adequate level of protection for the rights and freedoms of data subjects in relation to the processing of personal data.
Perimetersafe has Perimetersafe Cloud Servers in United States (U.S.), Hong Kong, Italy and Frankfurt. Personal data of our European users and customers registering to use our Perimetersafe Cloud services are stored in Perimetersafe Cloud servers in Italy or Frankfurt. Personal data includes video clips and snapshots from our video products. Email, username, IP address of the device captured during registration, event information obtained from the device are stored in servers in U.S. and Hong Kong for the purpose of handling server migration, server failover due to maintenance & unforeseen interruption on our servers in Europe. When such server fallout happened, we may able to allow our European users to continue to use our Perimetersafe Cloud Services to perform live streaming to our video products as part of our drive for seamless user experience.


2 - Purpose of the Cloud Storage of Video Clips & Snapshots

Perimetersafe operates Perimetersafe Cloud Service to provide users of our video devices to store video clips and snapshots onto our Cloud.


3 - Storage and Retention of Video Clips & Snapshots

Access is limited to authorised persons only and a server log registering accesses is maintained.
Access is not given to third parties except for the purposes of a criminal investigation and those conditions dictated on our Data Request Policy.  
Video clips and snapshots are kept for a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of 35 days in our servers. Actual duration depends on the subscription plan applied to each specific device but will not exceed the maximum duration of 35 days.
