The first Folding Pocket Kodak
This camera is a significant milestone in camera development as it was to establish the principals of the folding rollfilm format. It initiated the very popular Folding Pocket line of cameras and also introduced the 2¼" x 3¼" picture size that was to prove very popular.
1935
Kodak introduced Kodachrome
It was the first successful color materials and was used for both cinematography and still photography.
1975
Kodak Engineer Steven Sasson invented the 1st digital camera
The black-and-white image, captured at a resolution of .01 megapixels (10,000 pixels), took 23 seconds to record onto a digital cassette tape and another 23 seconds to read off a playback unit onto a television. Then it popped up on the screen.
2003
